A team member to brag about!

Brian Lee Trophy

Our technical trainer is one of the best in the nation!

I posted yesterday about the Ricoh Service Excellence award received by our service department. The award recognizes the whole service team. However, this is the United Sates, a society that, rightly so, values the recognition of individual accomplishments. The “Prestige” certification is the individual’s recognition.

As part of the team evaluation process each of our service technicians was tested for product knowledge and their “able to fix it” know how. I am proud to say that our technical trainer, Brian Lee, was one of only 55 technicians nationwide to achieve the required results to receive the “Prestige” certification.

To illustrate what an achievement this was, over 2,000 technicians took the Level 1 test with 216 reaching the scoring threshold to take the level 2 test. Of those 216 technicians taking the Level 2 test 55 scored high enough to earn the “Prestige” certification. Only 30 of the 429 companies that participated in the Service Excellence process had a professional that received the “Prestige” certification.

Congratulations to Brian!

Brian’s main responsibility is training our technicians on all equipment in the Thermocopy product portfolio. We are one of the few companies (in our industry) in the nation that employs an on-site manufacturer-certified trainer and has a state-of-the-art training center for their service technicians (located at our Corporate Headquarters in Knoxville). What this means for our clients is their assigned service technicians have received up-to-date training on all of the equipment they work on resulting in equipment being fixed faster and a higher percentage of first visit fixes and lower call-back percentages.
